Dr. Wende A. Doniger, Esq.Wende A. Doniger, Esq. is better known in the legal community as Doctor Divorce™. She is the managing partner in the litigation firm of Doniger & Engstrand, LLP, located in Northport, NY. Dr. Doniger concentrates her practice in the areas of matrimonial and family law, article 81 proceedings and adoptions. Prior to starting her own firm with her husband, D. Daniel Engstrand, Jr., Dr. Doniger was a trial attorney in the Special Litigation and Medical Malpractice (SLAMM) Unit of the New York
City Law Department, and represented New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Dr. Doniger was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College, a pediatric psychologist at Metropolitan and Lincoln Hospitals, and a psychologist in private practice. In addition to her litigation practice, Dr. Doniger has served as the acting director of Continuing Legal Education at Touro Law Center, and is currently an adjunct professor of law at St. John’s University in Jamacia, New York. Dr. Doniger was the Director of the Suffolk County P.E.A.C.E. Program, and is presently Co-Chairperson of the Curriculum Committee of the Suffolk County Academy of Law.
Dr. Doniger received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College of Columbia University, and her law degree from Cardozo School of Law. In addition, Dr. Doniger has a Ph.D. in Psychology from Teachers College of Columbia University.
